JOB TITLE: Ecological Landscape Designer/Environmental Planner
LOCATION: Oakland, California
JOB SUMMARY:
Environmental consulting firm specializing in habitat assessment and restoration ecology in Oakland is seeking a landscape/ecological designer or similar with strong CAD, GIS, and field skills for part-time contract work. Must be able to prepare CAD graphics for assessment and mitigation plans, environmental reports, large-scale presentations, and construction drawings. Flexible schedule; potential for full time employment depending on candidate and work load. This position would be ideal for a landscape architect who is interested in expanding their skills in the environmental field, or a biologist with design/CAD training.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, biology, geography or related fields, advanced degree preferred;
 One to three years consulting experience in a small business environment;
 Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator);
 Knowledge of California flora and fauna, knowledge of native wetland habitats preferred;
 Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
 Good interpersonal communication skills and organizational skills.

COMPENSATION:
