AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented summer intern for our Washington D.C. Metro Area Landscape Architecture + Urban Design Studio.

In collaboration with the design studio leadership, the candidate will work closely with the project design teams and project landscape architects, managers and designers to design and assist in the execution of projects here and abroad.

Our Landscape Architecture and Urban Design studio has a diverse portfolio of work with a broad range of projects with various scales, challenges and intents. Our Projects are design and multidisciplinary-driven, executed in close collaboration with architects, engineers and planners.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
  • Proficiency and passion for creating compelling open space design.
  • Great ability to collaborate as part of a diverse studio team.
  • The skills to generate exceptional two dimensional and three dimensional design graphics.

We are looking for a candidate that is competent in:

  • AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Rhino and/or 3Ds Max

Dredge Research Collaborative Summer Internship 2017

The Dredge Research Collaborative is seeking summer intern-collaborators to study and document sediment management and design practices across America’s four coasts.

The 2017 internship will begin the first week of June, where interns will work in New York City with DRC members and participate in an 8-week visual research and publication production workshop. Summer work will synthesize research and ideas explored in past Dredge Research Collaborative events for publication. The summer work will culminate in a book scheduled to be released in Fall of 2018.

The internship is a paid position and will meet three to four days a week in Brooklyn, NY from June 01 to July 31. Summer intern-collaborators have the opportunity to interact with a national network of landscape architects, architects, and writers interested in sediment practices. Our ideal candidates are current students or recent graduates in landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, graphic design, and related disciplines. Applicants should be self-motivated, collaborative, and have strong visual research and drawing skills. Graphic design skills are a positive.
